Halloween activities

Yesterday we took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. Heide went with us this year. We had a lot of fun. It was a nice day to go. We made it through the maze after getting lost what seemed like a zillion times...We have no sense of direction! Last weekend we made a gingerbread haunted house. It has black icing.....yuck!! Taralyn decorated it and I got the messy job of frosting the roof....It turned out really cute. Taralyn is hosting the preliminary pageant here in JC in November so we had to take a few pics of her with her crown and sash on for the poster...Enjoy all the pics and we will post more after Halloween!

Updates

I haven't really had a lot of time to update everyone and I am sorry. Since school and dance has started we have been very busy. Taralyn's school had it's 50th birthday in September. It was really neat to go to the celebration since it was my grade school and also my mothers. We were the only 3 generations that were at the celebration. Taralyn got to wear her queen crown to the celebration and got points towards her "Queen of Queens" title she is trying for. It is now time for Halloween and once again we have decorated our yard. It looks good and Taralyn was very excited to help. Enjoy the pics...More updates will follow in the next few weeks.

KSU games

Last week I took Taralyn to her first K-State football game. They didn't play a high profile team but they won and we had a great time. We had such a great time that we went last night also. Aunt Denise and her boyfriend Steve treated us to the game. KSU won again(they played a nobody again). It rained almost the whole game and was very chilly but it was fun. Enjoy the pics!!!

National Our Diamond Miss Pageant

Taralyn was given the Jr Miss State Model Queen about two weeks before Nationals. The girl that won it in her division gave up her crown so it went to the runner-up. She will get crowned at the first prelim pageant she attends. Because she is a queen, she had to compete in the national pageant in Chickasha, Oklahoma. It was July 26-30. Needless to say she didn't crown or even make the Top 10 but she did great for her first nationals. She did win 2nd place for her Jungle Jive outfit. She learned alot and now we know what to expect when we go next year. Her age group has got to be one of the toughest there is. Enjoy the pics and I will post more when I get the others scanned.

State Our Diamond Miss Pageant

Taralyn competed in the State Pageant June 14. There were 6 girls in her age division. The competition was tough but she was beautiful and did well. They had an interview and had to model a party dress and sportswear. They also did a talent. Hers was ballet. She nailed her dance!!! In the end she placed 2nd runner up in talent and modeling but was crowned Miss Congeniality!!! We are headed to Nationals on June 24 in Oklahoma...Wish us luck!!!
